Readathon Hour Eight

Update and overview of book I am reading
I am now on page 92 of Last Will by Liza Marklund. It had a lot of action in the first couple chapters but has died down a bit as the journalist is now moving into research mode and investigation into why the people had been shot (and one killed) and the nobel prize ceremony after party. We are discovering that even though she does not think it was a terrorist action, that the terrorists have decided to lay claim to the shootings but the information they released do not match the time frame of the actual events of the shooting.
Annika is an investigative reporter for the newspaper and was also covering the ceremony when the killer stepped on her foot and she is the only person that saw her (the killer). Annika is also having some marriage problems and trying to put her life back together after having discovered her husband cheated on her and they have just come into a lot of money and are buying a new house. They have two children and their home life right now is not a happy place. That is why when Annika was dancing with fellow journalist from a rival newspaper  at the ceremony, she's starting to fall for him, hard.
And that is the first couple of chapters (there are very long chapters in this book)

  1. It took me a little while to get in to the swing of reading too! I've only just finished my first book, but I know exactly what you mean by how difficult it can be to get through a book if the action winds down. Sounds like Last Will has a lot of drama going on- I hope you're enjoying it! Can't wait to see what else you have to add in your next update :)

  2. Hmmm, Liza Marklund is an author I'm not familiar with. I may just have to look her up. Hope you enjoy the rest of the read-a-thon.
